## Step-by-step instructions

### Open the app settings

Tap the blue profile icon in the top right and choose **App settings**.

### Turn off automatic pronunciation

Scroll to **Automatic tile pronunciation on touch** and set the switch to **Off**.

### Turn off category pronunciation

Also set **Pronounce categories on touch** to **Off**.

### Test it

Tap a word or category; nothing is spoken any more.

## Complete transcript

Hi, I'm going to show you how to determine whether you want a word and a category tile to be spoken, yes or no. Right now, when I click on a word, it gets spoken, just like a category.

Food, drinks. But suppose I didn't want either of these. Then I can simply go to the settings by clicking on the blue figure at the top right, and then go to app settings. Then a little further down it says here: tiles automatically speak when touched, and categories speak when touched.

Well, I can turn both of these off, and then I can click on the cross. And then I see that if I click now, nothing gets spoken, and the same applies to food and drinks.
